Prayer Rock Foundation Celebrated Its First Anniversary on June 28, 2008
A Hermitage of the Heart Prevails in Times of Shifting Sands-
Our beautiful planet is in trouble and is in need of sources of Light to help us
return to our natural space of balance. In the Heart of Maui, there is such a unique
and precious place, Prayer Rock Sanctuary, where all beings are invited to join
with us in our eternal prayer to send Peace, Compassion, Loving Kindness and Joy
to all peoples of the world. It is a rare jewel. All of you who have experienced
Prayer Rock - into whose hearts its spirit has entered - know this, directly. It
changes one.
As a symbolic beacon of this prayer the temple and stupa lamps of the Prayer Rock
Sanctuary have been kept lit and burning continuously for more than a quarter of
a century now. Our task is to preserve this unwavering presence of the light.
